“O God, help us to believe the truth about ourselves, no matter how beautiful it may be”

Sept 29, 2023 Reflections

Things I have been learning these past couple of weeks about Yahweh, people, & myself (with original photos from Marina Alviso County Park) :

Yahweh:

⁃ reorientation to sin

⁃ if sin can be removed then it didn’t belong there in the first place

⁃ I’m realizing how dangerous it is to play God with regards to who we think will get to Heaven and who won’t. We don’t know what happens in those last few moments of anyone’s lives. We don’t know if like the thief on the cross next to Jesus, someone encountered Jesus during their last few moments of life. And yes, one could argue the opposite as well, we also don’t know if anyone might go to hell, whatever one might define that as. But the common thread running between these two things is that WE DONT KNOW. So love like Jesus loved anyways.

people:

⁃ More of a reminder to myself – leading with curiosity helps

myself:

⁃ I say “yea” at the end of the sentence a lot when i’m nervous 😬

⁃ Need to be reorienting myself to leading with curiosity again for some parts of my life

⁃ Names difficult to remember
