This was quite a long day ! There were 3 main places to visit today. For breakfast, I bought a 素菜包:

apparently, you cannot even eat in the metro station (I thought you could only not eat on the metro). I suppose this would explain why the subways are so clean ! Because you can get fined up to $7500 for eating in the station/on the subway train.

Anyways, we started off the day with hiking 象山！This short hiking trail gives spectacular views of the Taipei101 tower. Here are all the photos I took of the tower that day on the trail:

When we finally got to the bottom of the hiking trail after having reached the top, I stopped by to get some 奶茶 right at the trailhead (location, location, location!):

We then meandered through the nearby streets while trying to find lunch:

After lunch, there was this alley I wanted to visit because of its famous photo op spot ! :

We then started on our way to the other side of the red line, which is to 淡水！Here are some views of when we first arrived:

I had thought that 情人橋 was in the same area as 淡水, but it isn’t, so we ended up walking for quite a bit in 淡水. But that gave me plenty of time to capture some scenic shots as well as some cute store fronts ! :

I was feeling a bit disappointed at this point, because I was expecting to find the wharf with the bridge. We actually started this almost one hour route to where I eventually discovered the bridge to be, only to discover that there was a bus that took us there in half the amount of time ! So we finally made it via bus:
