I really should be writing more of these since I don’t have class right now. But anyways, here is today’s prompt from Onsite: “How will the ability to identify these traps assist you moving forward?”
To recap, these are the “traps” that I’ve reflected on:
- denial
- judgement
- blame
- comparison
- fear
I suppose I’d like to acknowledge that these are all okay things to feel, I am human after all, and each of these emotions provide some sort of protective mechanism, often to shield me from shame or sadness. The quick answer to this is identifying these will be able to help me not make decisions based on these emotions. These are good “warning sign” kind of emotions, not emotions in which it is healthy to constantly act from.
