Hello internet ! These photos and this post is long overdue – from a trip/retreat back in February with my husband’s (then fiancé still) church group. We rented a big Airbnb and went up to Groveland, CA for a short retreat. Here are the photos I took:
So, this wasn’t the house we stayed at, ours is to the left of it (on the right, in the photo). However, we also had this walkway down to this small lake:

Some of the wildlife right behind the house. This was the first time I ever had the feeling of “I feel like I shouldn’t be seeing you” when looking eye-to-eye with deer. Slowly I have been learning and appreciating the divinity and sacredness in wild animals:
