Lake Tahoe – Labor Day Weekend

Lake Tahoe – Labor Day Weekend

For my birthday / Labor Day weekend this year, Jacob and I went up to Tahoe ! His family is in the Central Valley area, so I thought a day trip to Tahoe wouldn’t be too bad. However, it was still a 6-hour round trip ;_;

Reflecting on the trip, as beautiful Tahoe is, I think next year I would either like to go to a less crowded part of Tahoe, as my birthday usually falls within the Labor Day weekend. Or, I’d even try going to a nice coastal area either somewhere in Northern California or somewhere else entirely !

Anyways, voici mes photos (here are my photos):

I really wanted to go to a coffee shop somewhere in Tahoe, so I found this super cute coffee and book shop ! It looked soo cozy inside:

As cozy as it was, we had our lunch right outside of the coffee shop in this nice grassy area:

This was my first time ever seeing coffee cups like this that are recyclable, so I took a photo:

I then asked one of the baristas where there was a free place we could see Lake Tahoe from and she recommended Regan Memorial City beach, so that was our first stop:

It was really a nice area, but there were a lot of people. There was some other lakeside area I remember driving by the last time I was in Tahoe. After some research and driving around, I realized it was a park area right next to this beach – El Dorado beach. So here are the photos from that area:

Before we walked around El Dorado Beach though, we found this small little pathway near the neighborhoods by the lake:

That’s all my photos from Tahoe, as we only had about 3 hours in the area since it was quite a drive up. For dinner, we went to this place called “Journey to the Dumpling” in Elk Grove. Their food was generally good, but I thought it was quite salty. Nonetheless, this place stood out to me because they had really unique dishes that I ordered, like Impossible Meat dumplings and Sichuan fries. Here are the photos I got there:

Thank you for reading !
