“O God, help us to believe the truth about ourselves, no matter how beautiful it may be”

Dell’Osso Family Farm

Dell’Osso Family Farm

I finally got to visit the giant Dell’Osso Farms this past weekend ! I always pass by and see it on the way to and from the Central Valley, where my in-laws live (and where I would pass by frequently to visit my once-boyfriend a couple times a month for the past 2 years!).

I was so impressed with the parking guidance, first of all. An event of that magnitude really needs traffic control so that was great ! And so different from one of the big pumpkin patches in the Bay Area (because of no traffic control and one-way streets, there’s just unending traffic for almost an hour out into a rural area).

When we arrived, they gave us paper wristbands that said “I am responsible for my own actions” or something, which I thought was kind of funny. They also did not check any bags, which I was a little concerned about. However, I felt somewhat better seeing that there were some cops and firemen stationed throughout the event grounds.

We first did the corn maze, with my brother-in-law and husband taking turns leading. They actually have a copy of the corn maze map at the entrance because it is huge ! There were 2 maps and we did both of them. Both also had some ‘vista point’ areas where you can see some of the maze from above and just some scenery in general:

There was also a pretty epic sunset:

I thought it was cool to see corn in a corn maze:

Afterwards, we did mini golf (only 9 courses), and then got some food. They had quite a variety of ‘standard carnival food’, like churros, fennel cakes, fries, tacos, turkey legs, burgers, hot dogs, and smoothies. I went in line for pretzels but they had ran out sadly. So I went to a different food booth for nachos. They also have a petting zoo but I felt sad for all the ponies being in an enclosed area, forced to walk in circles every once in a while.

We also got apple spiced donuts which were tasty ! I also got their apple cider which has almost 60 grams of sugar ! So I am still slowly drinking it:

Some other photos around the giant pumpkin patch:
