“O God, help us to believe the truth about ourselves, no matter how beautiful it may be”

These are the days of… – Nov. 1, 2024

I know all my Hawai’i posts have been my ‘these are the days of posts’ as well. But here are some things before and after Hawai’i that I didn’t get to share yet!:

These are the days of…

… having a date night with Jacob where we made our own aprons ! The theme was to draw/paint a hero, but we kind of took our liberties with it. I drew Kirby along with the Japanese Show title, and Jacob drew a fun pun :

and we prepared these aprons to cook some chocolate cake ! We just did plain cake mix, and then chocolate icing on top. I wanted it plain like that, while Jacob wanted to put sprinkles on it:

I also didn’t know that most containers of icing that we get at the store have the right amount for a 9×13 cake !

… finally buying the motion sickness goggles ! They work really well, and people seeing us drive by definitely stare at me. Sometimes I am self-conscious about it and sometimes I am not. They were particularly effective in Hawai’i ! Back here at home, they make me sleepy because without the nausea effect there, all I feel is calming rocking in the car.

… JJ being really happy to see his uncle Jacob the morning we left for Hawai’i:

… trying to learn more about cycle syncing so I can have less painful cycles:

… playing with this Freewrite device (and JJ joining in for a session):

… taking some still photos around the apartment:

… finding POG juice at a local safeway ! My physical therapist later shared that Costco sells POG juice in bulk, but unfortunately we don’t have a membership:

… Having yogurt & fruit during a certain part of my cycle to get used to cycle syncing my diet:

…buying mini pizzas from Whole Foods and then topping it with basil from our patio garden!:

… Playing with snapchat filters with my Jacob:

.. Voting ! I put the sticker on my Freewrite device for now. Eventually I would like to cover this freewrite with a cool DIY wallpaper sticker design.

Thanks for reading if you did !
