“O God, help us to believe the truth about ourselves, no matter how beautiful it may be”

Getting to know myself – prompt 31

Today’s question from Onsite is: “How would you describe your circles of community? Do they rely more on togetherness or intimacy?”

I find this a bit of a strange question, I only really see relationship with my husband as one of intimacy. Otherwise, I consider my circles of community relying on togetherness. My church community include like-minded people trying our best to follow Jesus together and in our own individual lives. My community with my friends rely on common beliefs and pastimes. I am trying to start consistently attending a Frenc meet-up group, so that has to do with wanting to indulge in a hobby together as well (although I will say that I sought out this group due to feeling lonely about practicing French all on my own in the Bay Area).

Mostly, my circles of community are people who want to enjoy a particular something in life together.
