Today is Sunday, so I started the day off by making myself breakfast (eggs and tomatoes with sweet potato) and headed off to church. On my google maps, it says it takes about 30 minutes to get there using walking and metro. But even if I leave around 10:00, I still get there at 10:45 somehow. Service starts at 10:30, so I probably just need to head out at 9:45 next time.
Anyways, I am thankful that holding an umbrella while it’s sunny is a normal thing here:

I also a separate motorcycle entrance for a parking garage which I thought was interesting since I have not seen a separate motorcycle entrance before:

I was invited to eat out with the churchgoers again, and we went to the same Vietnamese restaurant. I felt a little bad not being able to interact much with my language barrier (I understand Mandarin MUCH better than I can speak it)… but here I was showing up anyways. I ordered 2 of this plate:

Afterwards, they invited me to their book club meeting, but first I ordered an iced barley tea drink. I asked for it with half sugar, but honestly I should have had it with no sugar because I have never had it with sugar until today:

After the book club, I went to a coffee shop to do some reading. Here are some photos on the way there –
A pretty park:

An empty metro station:

Finally getting a mister donut treat:

At the coffee shop (I ordered an iced cranberry tea):

After the coffee shop, I rested at my AirBnB a bit while I waited for my phone to charge. I headed out around 6:30, but now I know that that was a bit late with regards to fully exploring a night market. In any case, today I went to 公館夜市. I ended up getting dinner there at a nice (but very small) vegetarian restaurant, walked around, and also visited a bookstore and got books:

Spotting the Taipei 101 tower from far away:

From the bookstore, I got some children’s books with 注音 in it, as that is unfortunately the level that I have been stuck with since my Chinese school days:

…and my final step count of the day:

Thanks for reading !
