Taiwan Day 19 (and a little of day 20)

Taiwan Day 19 (and a little of day 20)

Day 19 , Tuesday July 22, was my last full day in Taiwan. My itinerary looked like this:

  • lunch with relatives
  • visiting 大湖公園
  • eating 牛肉麵 at 春水堂 again (near Chiang Kai Shek Memorial)
  • eat some kind of ice cream. I had originally wanted matcha ice cream but at the point that I wanted it, it would have been too late in the day considering its caffeine content.

Here is the lunch I got with my relatives:

Afterwards, I chilled at my aunt’s house for a bit. Then I went back to my AirBnb to rest while having my phone charged, and then headed out to 大湖公園. I went once probably a decade ago, but I wanted to see it again and also take photos of it with this upgraded DSLR that I now have:

I apparently ran into some rush hour traffic on the metro while on my way back to Chiang Kai Shek:

When I lined up for 春水堂, the wait was long. So I decided to get this soy milk ice cream by the dessert store nearby:

And then I finally got to be seated at 春水堂 ! The beef noodle soup plus the honey latte I ordered were both so delicious, as expected:

Some other photos I got around the national theatre and Chiang Kai Shek at night:

DAY 20 – my last day, and the day I was scheduled to return to the U.S. I headed out of my Airbnb at 6:45, got to the airport, and ate breakfast:

Oh yes… I included the bathroom photo here because omygoodness it looked so fancy !

I am writing this back in the U.S. already. Thanks for reading through my travels with me !
